Pangolin PG Series Forced-Draft Cooling TowerCentrifugal Fan Forced Draft
A forced-draft cooling tower using a centrifugal fan for forced ventilation.
The Pangolin PG series is an original forced-draft cooling tower of LANXUN. It uses a centrifugal fan to force air upward from the bottom, combined with a cross-flow side-discharge air duct design, completely changing the traditional top-discharge mode of axial fans. Centrifugal-fan forced ventilation features high air pressure and insensitivity to air resistance, making it especially suitable for conditions with restricted air inlets or long-distance air delivery. The tower body uses POSCO HGI highly corrosion-resistant galvanized steel. The series covers five tower types (CC/C/L/P/H) with 30 models, widely used in harsh environments such as industrial workshops and power-plant auxiliary cooling.
Key Highlights
Centrifugal-Fan Forced Ventilation
A centrifugal fan forces air from the bottom, providing high air pressure and controllable airflow, suitable for restricted air inlets and long-distance air delivery.
Cross-Flow Side-Discharge Design
Side discharge avoids hot-air recirculation; multiple towers can be arranged flexibly without mutual interference between discharge directions.
POSCO HGI Highly Corrosion-Resistant Galvanized Steel
The entire frame uses POSCO HGI highly corrosion-resistant galvanized steel, with a salt-spray test of ≥600h, far exceeding the national standard.
Five Tower Types, Flexible Selection
Five tower types (CC/C/L/P/H) correspond to different water flows and installation conditions, always matching your project requirements.
Working Principle and Structural Features
The following content is excerpted from the Pangolin PG Series Forced-Draft Cooling Tower product manual
Working Principle
A forced-draft mechanical-draft cooling tower is one in which the fan is located at the air inlet of the tower. The LANXUN square forced-draft side-discharge cooling tower is a forced-draft mechanical-draft cooling tower in which water falls vertically from the top of the tower and air flows horizontally through the fill and is discharged from the side, with the airflow and water flow at right angles.
Its working principle relies on the tower's centrifugal fan to force cold outside air through the tower's inlet duct into the tower; the medium to be cooled is evenly distributed by the tubular water distribution system to each sprinkler device, evenly sprinkled onto the fill to exchange heat with the incoming air, the hot humid air is dewatered by the drift eliminator and discharged from the tower, and the cooled medium collects and flows into the collection basin.
The LANXUN PG series is a standardized product developed and refined by referencing the GB/T 7190.1-2018 standard, combined with ISO 9001 quality system requirements and more than 20 years of practical experience. It features good cooling effect, low drift, small size, and compact structure, and can withstand magnitude-8 or greater earthquakes and wind forces up to Category 12.
Belt Drive System
The driving pulley on the motor shaft drives the large driven pulley through a belt to turn the centrifugal fan, with a fully enclosed motor dedicated to cooling towers and a belt-driven air-conditioning fan; imported belts provide smooth operation, long life, and low noise.
HGI Galvanized Steel Structure
The main frame, bottom frame plates, and side panels are preferably made of HGI high-corrosion-resistance, extra-thick galvanized (700g/m²) steel from Korea's POSCO, the highest galvanized specification in the industry today, equivalent to the ASTM G235 standard (metric Z700).
Modified PVC Tower-Core Fill
The tower-core material is vacuum-formed from premium modified PVC sheet and combines air guiding, heat dissipation, and water collection in one; the surface has a fine texture so the water forms a film without splashing, providing full water-air contact and good hydrophilicity.
Multiple Tower-Body Material Options
Tower body materials are distinguished by the suffixes -G (hot-dip galvanized enclosure, water basin, integral frame, and hardware) and -S (stainless steel enclosure, water basin, integral frame, and hardware); a gear drive can be selected to replace the standard belt drive.
